ARGENTINE YARARA BRAND PARATROOPER DAGGER BLADE KNIFE AIRBORNE CIRCA 2010. Blackened blade, edges and handguard are in excellent conditions.

The green rubber hilt is a bit dirty and the brown leather scabbard only has some scuffs due to outdoor miitary use. The leather is sound and fresh, all sewings are tight and complete. Some aluminium burrs can be seen on polished handguard, this is typical on this brand. History of Yarara Knives: "YARARÁ" was born in 1990, with the creation of its first and legendary model "El Comando" (= The Commando), so called because its first destination was the CiaCdo(s) 601 Ejercito Argentino (= Argentine Army 601 Commando Coy), responding to the operational needs required in a timely manner.

Made by Yarará, in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Unlike its Erizo (Hedgehog) and Army Arsenal predecessors, this knife is made in a single piece of steel (hidden full tang), it does not have a rat-tang welded to the blade, blade and the hilt are a single piece, giving more rigidity to the whole.

The dagger blade has two concave bevels, double edge, with a serrated Spyderco type edge section, it has on the right ricazzo the YARARA brand and logo together with IND. Blade Material: SAE 6150 Steel (Chrome-Vanadium Alloy Carbon Steel). Blade Finish: Black matte blued. Type of Edge: Double - Concave (Hollow Ground).

The scabbard has a hilt strap with a fastener, the throat is reforced with a leather sheet that gives the look of predecessors' scabbards Blade length 191 mm / 7-1/2" Total length 345 mm / 13-1/2" Blade Thickness: 5 mm. Blade Width 31 mm / 1-1/4" Handle Length 89 mm / 3-1/2". Weight 383 grams / 13-1/2 oz (knife only).
