Antique, late 19th century - early 20th century, traditional Afghan khyber short sword of characteristic form. Khyber is the traditional knife of the Mahsud, a tribe of the Khyber pass area between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Strong T-shaped single-edged straight blade of high quality steel. The wooden scabbard is covered with leather and decorated with pirced brass tip mount. A great example of lethal weapon from Afghanistan and North India. Good condition for its age with some pitting to the blade age. Total length of the dagger with sheath: 80 cm (31 1/2).
